NewsFactor Network - Business News for Technology Leaders - PalmOne Acquires Palm Brand: "Handheld manufacturer palmOne is going back to the future by purchasing the rights to the brand name Palm from software provider PalmSource , the brand that had been co-owned by the two companies since PalmSource was spun off from Palm Inc. in 2003. As a result of the US$30 million deal, palmOne will revert back to the name to Palm later this year, while PalmSource retains some rights to Palm trademarks during a four-year transition period. "
